Does anyone know how you can change the color of your oven/stove to stainless?
My oven door and stove top right now are very old and are that copper brown color that you can’t even buy longer. My refrigerator was the same ugly of copper until recently it had to be replaced. I bought a stainless front refrigerator. The sides are black. I don’t want to buy new appliances because even though they are old they still work great. Someone please help!!!! I’m desperate.
They actually make replacement fronts that are magnetic or can be glued on and can go over existing fronts. Contact the manufacturer of your appliances to see whether they are one of those who will sell you one. Also, check with the Lowes and Home Depot kitchen special order desks because another manufacturers front may fit your appliance. You can also paint it, but I’ve only found high heat paint in black, both flat and gloss, which is what you would need for an over. You can find this at automotive stores and on the spray paint aisle at Depot and Lowes. One other avenue, it to contact re-use it centers or salvage in your area. Sometimes they have parts to appliances (like doors, racks, etc) that are taken off of Appliances that no longer fully work but the parts are tested and okay, or appliances that have been removed due to remodels are are still working.

You can’t paint on stainless but, you can have them painted a silver or gray to match you refrigerator. Being copper color I know that is old. I’m afraid they are going to advise you that it’s not worth the money. If you decide to have it done, I would check with the manufacture to make sure you can still get all the parts for your stove. No sense painting it and then something happens and you find you can’t get a part for it.

Call and ask around if you can purchase parts for it like just the top of the oven and just the door of the oven? You may end up pay less to replace them all. (most of the goods are on sale on Black Friday, you can look around and wait to buy your appliances then) Good luck.

There is a heavy duty contact paper that can be bought at Home Depot or Lowe’s (I’ve even seen them in catalogs that I get); they give the look of a stainless steel appliance.
