I need appliance opinions! Freestanding refrigerators VS. Built-ins. Compare & Contrast?

First, you have to decide if cost is an issue. Freestanding are going to run you half the price of built ins. Freestanding are also a lot easier to maintain and repair.
Built ins are easier to change the look of because you can get the panels in every thing from stainless to wood. They are also going to fill an odd sized opening better. Free standing are only in 30", 33", or 36" widths.
Lastly, keep in mind that most place won't take a return or do an exchange on a built in fridge
