The guy at Home Depot said that they are not doing a cash for clunkers on old refrigerators, is that right?

I took my 1986 side-by-side clunker refrigerator into Home Depot to take advantage of the cash for clunkers program but he said it was only for cars. I thought congress expanded it this week to any durable goods, Appliances… I thought I heard it on the local NPR? Where do I take the refrigerator to get my cash for clunkers trade in?

i guess you are being sarcastic? But, for real, that would be a very good idea.

How do Electrolux refrigerators and ranges comare to other manucturers?

Cash for clunkers is the government taking old cars off the road due to them guzzling gas. They were talking about doing it with electronics that are not energy savvy but they held off and now companies are just giving some cash back or rewards when you TRADE in you old electronics.
