    That’s the running joke…the radio show, GUNSMOKE; several of the John Wayne movies…all hinted that the western was going to be a big craze. also, cowboy movies ran on TV a lot on the weekends…so that’s why there’s a lot of cowboy footage for comical purposes…especially when the TV owner finds the same show on every channel because in the eye’s of those who hate westerns, they often criticize: “they’re all the same”.

    well Tex Avery never did think of multiple sets for the home because THEN it was abit expensive to own more than on set

    There was a supposed belief back then that Scotsmen were all thrifty. In other words, they did not like spending too much money. If you search the Merrie Melodies cartoon “My Bunny Lies Over the Sea,” you’ll see another example of the “thrifty Scotsman” refernce.
