Co-worker is getting married in November. They have registered already and I’m not sure when to buy. When?
I want to get them the snow cone maker, the silliest thing on their list, everything else is boring Appliances and linens.
I know I could buy now, but when do I actually give them the gift? Is it too soon to have the company ship direct to their house?
Yes, I was invited to the wedding.
if youre going to the wedding then you drop it off at the gift table at the reception. If youre not going, then go ahead and have it mailed to them now.
Buy it now give it to them later

Have you been invited to the wedding? If you have, the gift is presented at the reception. If you haven’t been invited, you don’t buy a gift.

When you make the purchase, the item is removed from their registry. You should take it with you to the wedding. If you are not attending the wedding you may be able to make arrangements to have it mailed closer to the wedding date. Additionally, you do not have to purchase off the registry, you can also give them a gift that you think they would enjoy–I would do that over a snow cone maker that will end up in a garage sale next spring.
