What should I expect to pay for Compressor replacement on my Refrigerator?
I have a 6 year old Frigidaire Side by Side, 22.6 cu ft, Model number FRS23KF6CW which has a noisy compressor. The noise just started a few weeks ago in the extremely hot weather. What typically should I expect to pay to have a Technicion come in and replace the compressor??? I am located in the Northeast on Cape Cod and would like to do this ASAP to avoid total failure of an appliance that I thought would last at least 12-14 years, thanks for any information.
I think calling a repair place would get you a better answer to this.
But expect to pay a service call fee, plus a technician fee, plus the cost of any parts he may use. It might not be the compressor that is broken.

Unfortunately alot of the places here on the Cape only service what they sell these days
Have you contacted Frigidaire – seems kind of young for a compressor to go – maybe it’s covered or needs a simple (free) adjustment.
Did you get it on cape? If you did, where?
