What should I expect to pay for Compressor replacement on my Refrigerator?

I have a 6 year old Frigidaire Side by Side, 22.6 cu ft, Model number FRS23KF6CW which has a noisy compressor. The noise just started a few weeks ago in the extremely hot weather. What typically should I expect to pay to have a Technicion come in and replace the compressor??? I am located in the Northeast on Cape Cod and would like to do this ASAP to avoid total failure of an appliance that I thought would last at least 12-14 years, thanks for any information.

I think calling a repair place would get you a better answer to this.

But expect to pay a service call fee, plus a technician fee, plus the cost of any parts he may use. It might not be the compressor that is broken.

Is there a lemon law for faulty appliances?

Unfortunately alot of the places here on the Cape only service what they sell these days :( Have you contacted Frigidaire – seems kind of young for a compressor to go – maybe it’s covered or needs a simple (free) adjustment.
Did you get it on cape? If you did, where?
